Microsoft's investment in Mistral is a major shift. It moves them from a scrappy independent to having a major cloud provider deeply involved.
Key questions for us:
* Does this affect data privacy/sovereignty promises? Mistral's EU-based compliance was a big selling point.
* Does technical roadmap independence remain, or will it start aligning with Azure's priorities?
* Will this accelerate development and availability, or just create another "partner model" vendor?
For practical use in testing/analytics, the stability and pace of the API matter more than who owns it. But trust is part of the stack.
