That's a fair point about the context switch being mitigated by CI integration. I think the risk isn't the technical overhead of adding another step, but the human overhead of adding another report.
When you say "tune it to look for the exact bug classes," that's the crucial part. A generic "AI audit" report will become noise. A targeted check for, say, missing context managers in new database modules is a concrete finding a developer can act on. It shifts the tool from being a critic to being a specialized assistant.
