Anyone else seeing a drop in output quality with the new model?

I’ve been conducting a systematic review of Jasper’s output over the last three weeks, specifically for generating compliance documentation templates and data processing agreement clauses. Since the new model update, I’ve observed a measurable decline in consistency and adherence to specific regulatory frameworks.

My testing methodology involved using identical, detailed prompts for generating clauses related to GDPR Article 28 and HIPAA BAAs, then comparing the outputs against my own audit checklists. The issues I’ve documented include:

* Increased “generalization” of legally specific terms, where previous outputs correctly cited articles and defined terms.
* More frequent insertion of hypothetical or placeholder text in areas that previously generated complete, usable clauses.
* A noticeable shift towards marketing-friendly language in technical or regulatory sections, which reduces the utility for draft documentation.

From a vendor risk management perspective, this is concerning. The tool’s reliability for initial draft generation in controlled environments was a key factor in its justification. Has anyone else performed a similar comparative analysis, particularly for structured, compliance-sensitive content?

I am also curious if the observed quality variance is dependent on workflow or command style. My prompts are typically long-form and include explicit citations to required standards.

Not seeing that specific issue with code generation, but your point about the model drifting toward marketing speak hits home. I pushed some chaos engineering manifests through it last week and the output kept adding weird, conversational comments about "resilience journeys" in the YAML. Completely useless.

Have you tried version pinning your prompts? I started appending "model version 2024.1" to mine as a test and the outputs got slightly less fluffy. Might just be placebo though.
