We’re a small research team considering Iris.ai. Our budget is tight, so I looked at their pricing page first. They advertise it as a research assistant.
I ran a trial on a set of clinical protocols. It found some related papers, but missed key regulatory guidelines a human librarian flagged immediately. The summaries were surface-level.
My take: It’s a search accelerator, not a replacement. You still need a specialist to interpret and vet the results. For the cost, that’s a significant limitation. Has anyone else reached a similar conclusion after a paid subscription? I’m weighing whether the time saved on initial filtering justifies the annual fee.
