I just moved our team from Mode to Ideogram for analytics. The main reason was cost, but I've been testing the SQL editor side by side.
In Mode, I was used to writing a query and seeing results immediately below. Ideogram splits the editor and results into separate tabs. Is that a common setup? It feels slower to click back and forth to check my work.
Also, autocomplete seems less aggressive. In Mode, typing "SELE" would immediately suggest "SELECT". Ideogram waits for me to type more or press a key. Is this a configuration issue or just a different design choice? I'm worried about my team's productivity during the switch.
The big win so far is the built-in data catalog. Finding table schemas is much faster. But I'm still unsure about the editor workflow. Has anyone else made this switch? How long did it take to adjust?
