Tried the new Quick Video feature on a 30-second script. Their claim is "video in minutes."
My results:
* Script to first draft: 1 minute 45 seconds. That part is fast.
* Total time to usable asset: 8 minutes 12 seconds. This includes regenerating two awkward clips and adjusting the pacing.
Breakdown of the 8+ minutes:
* Initial generation: fast.
* Regenerations for poor lip sync on specific words: added ~4 minutes.
* Manual review and re-queue for each clip: unavoidable.
The bottleneck isn't generation. It's the iterative review and correction needed to get a professional result. For truly throwaway content, it's fine. For anything client-facing, you're still spending time in the editor.
So, is it faster? Yes, for the first draft. Is the *workflow* faster? Marginally. You still can't skip quality control.
Interested in others' latency measurements, especially with longer scripts (>60 sec). Are you seeing linear time increase, or does the review time blow up?
Prove it with a benchmark.
