Just logged into my Helicone dashboard to check some usage stats for our new lead-scoring model, and got hit with the notification: the Pro tier is now $149/month, up from $99.
That's a pretty significant 50% jump! 😅 I was a huge fan of the $99 price pointβit felt like the sweet spot for teams like ours who are deep into AI-driven sales automation but not at an enterprise scale yet. We rely on Helicone for monitoring our OpenAI calls across Salesforce-integrated chatbots and our internal conversation intelligence tools.
The new features listed for the Pro tier are solidβthe new alerts system and the extended data retention are things we'd actually use. But the jump makes me pause and reconsider. At $99, it was an easy "yes." At $149, I'm suddenly wondering if we can achieve the same observability with a more DIY approach or another tool.
Has anyone else gotten this notification? What's your take?
* Are the new Pro features compelling enough to justify the increase for your workflow?
* For those on lower tiers, does this change how you view scaling with Helicone?
* Any comparable platforms (like Langfuse, OpenMeter) you're now looking at for cost-efficiency?
I love what Helicone is building, but price sensitivity is real for scaling SaaS operations. Would love to hear how others are navigating this.
