Thoughts on Hailuo's data retention policy? Can we really trust them to delete on schedule?

Hi everyone, I’ve been evaluating Hailuo for our marketing ops stack, specifically for handling campaign data and customer journey touchpoints. I’m really impressed with the automation features and the potential for better attribution modeling.

However, while going through their documentation, I hit their data retention section. They state they delete certain types of processed event data after 13 months, and raw logs much sooner. In my world, with GDPR and CCPA, this is a major point of compliance we have to get right.

My question is: has anyone here independently verified that Hailuo actually deletes data on their stated schedule? I’m not just talking about the UI showing it as gone, but at the infrastructure level. We’ve had issues with other vendors where "deletion" just meant flipping a 'visible' flag in the database, not a true purge. 😅

I’d love to hear from teams who have:
- Gone through a data subject access request (DSAR) deletion process with them. Was the data verifiably gone?
- Asked for and received their detailed data handling or security white papers.
- Noticed any discrepancies in reporting or data volume that might hint at retention behind the scenes.

We handle a lot of PII in our email flows, so this isn't just theoretical for us. Concrete experiences would be incredibly helpful.
