Alright, fellow ops nerds. I've been deep in the Granola settings trying to solve a classic problem: you book a 30-minute intro call with a prospect, but you want the follow-up to feel immediate and personalized, not generic.

After testing about a dozen workflows across three different client accounts, here’s the automation recipe that’s getting the highest positive reply rate. The key is balancing speed with relevance.

**My recommended Granola setup for this scenario:**

* **Trigger:** "Meeting - Completed" status from your calendar integration, filtered for that specific 30-minute call type.
* **Delay:** 14 minutes. This is the sweet spot. It lands just after the call ends but feels deliberate, not robotic.
* **Primary Action:** Send a personalized email via your connected ESP (HubSpot/Mailchimp/etc.). The template should pull in at least:
* Prospect's first name
* One key topic discussed (requires a custom field you or the sales rep fills in post-call)
* A link to the specific resource you mentioned
* **Secondary Action (Parallel Path):** Update the lead score in your CRM. +5 points for attending the call, and +10 for a custom "Call Topic" field being populated (shows high engagement).
* **Conditional Split:** If they click the resource link in the email, trigger a second, softer touch 48 hours later with related content.

**Pitfall to avoid:** Don't set the first email to go out *during* the call. Granola's default "meeting end" trigger can sometimes fire a few minutes early if a call ends prematurely. The 14-minute delay is your buffer.

This workflow treats the call as the start of a nurture, not the end of a sequence. It’s increased our "next step" bookings by about 18% because the follow-up feels like a natural continuation of the conversation. What’s your go-to timing and action mix?
