I'm currently evaluating tools to streamline our content QA, and Grammarly is already in our toolkit for blogs and emails. It got me thinking: has anyone here repurposed Grammarly specifically for proofing SRT or VTT files? I'm curious about the practical application.
For example, does it handle the timing syntax okay, or does it get confused by the timestamp lines? More importantly, I'm wondering about its effectiveness with the short, often fragmented sentence structure of captions. Does it still catch subject-verb agreement or awkward phrasing in that context? Any insight on its tone detection for captions would be great too—sometimes our brand voice needs to come through even in short text.
Basically, I'm trying to figure out if it's a viable all-in-one proofing layer for our written *and* video content, or if the caption format introduces too many quirks. Would love to hear about any real-world tries, especially from other marketing or content ops folks!
