Hi everyone! 👋 I’m pretty new to using GitHub Copilot (just started a couple weeks ago), and I’ve noticed something that’s been a real headache. My laptop battery seems to drain *so* much faster when I have Copilot enabled in VS Code, especially when I’m working away from my desk. I love the suggestions, but I can barely get through half a work session before needing to plug in.
I’m mostly working on some personal project management scripts and automating some Asana/Notion stuff, nothing super heavy. I was wondering if this is normal? And if so, are there any settings or configurations I can tweak to make it less of a power hog? I’ve looked through the Copilot settings but I’m not really sure what most of the options do.
I usually work remotely from cafes or my couch, so battery life is pretty important to me. Any tips from more experienced users would be amazing! Maybe there’s a way to only trigger it under certain conditions, or a setting in VS Code itself that helps?
