I'll admit I downloaded it out of morbid curiosity. The promise of "AI in your pocket" sounded like a recipe for frustration, and I was right.
For any technical user, the mobile interface is a toy. The "multimodal" features are a gimmick. Try to get it to review a meaningful snippet of Terraform or a Python error trace from a screenshot. The results are either generic or it hallucinates structure that isn't there. The context window feels crippled compared to the desktop version, making any real back-and-forth impossible.
My use case breakdown:
* **Checking metrics/numbers from a dashboard screenshot:** Acceptable. "What's the p99 latency in this graph?" works.
* **Drafting a short email or text:** Fine, but so is any autocorrect.
* **Actual problem-solving, code review, or architecture discussion:** Useless. The lack of proper formatting, inability to handle multi-file context, and the thumb-typing barrier make it a non-starter.
It's a notification widget for a service that's better accessed elsewhere. The value is in sustained, complex interaction, which the mobile form factor inherently breaks. If your workflow is just asking for trivia or summarizing articles, maybe it's for you. For engineering work, it's a distraction.
