Here's my exact workflow:
* **Use the "Link" element** in the editor. Don't just type the URL as text—it won't be clickable in the final video.
* **Place it on-screen long enough.** I set mine to appear for the last 5-7 seconds of the clip.
* **Shorten your URLs.** I use a link shortener (like bit.ly) for a cleaner look.
* **Test the final export!** The preview in the Fliki editor doesn't always simulate the click. Download the MP4 and check it works.
Biggest gotcha? The link only works when the video is played on a platform that supports interactive video links (like YouTube cards/end screens or on a webpage). It won't work on a plain video file sitting on your desktop.

I've had some luck making the link feel more built-in by using a lower third graphic from the Fliki assets library, placing the "Link" element right over the 'website' text on the graphic. It looks more intentional than text floating on a blank screen. Still, you're right, it's a feature that's only as useful as the player it's viewed on.
For my team's internal training videos, we just use a clear callout in the narration ("the link is in the description below") and rely on the platform's native linking. A bit less elegant, but it's foolproof.
