Hey everyone! I just wrapped up a pretty deep dive into Fliki's new "Smart Avatar" feature and wanted to share my hands-on take. I used it to create a quick explainer video for a new lead scoring rule we're piloting in our marketing automation platform.

You can check out the video here: [Link to your video]
*(I made sure not to use any copyrighted assets, so it's all clean!)*

Here's my quick breakdown of the workflow and results:

**What worked really well:**
* The AI voice cloning for the avatar is spooky good. It matched my script's tone (excited about data, of course 😄) way better than the standard text-to-speech options.
* The integration with the script editor is seamless. I could tweak the narration on the fly and see the avatar's lip-sync update in near real-time.
* For a feature demo, it's incredibly efficient. This would have taken me hours to film and edit myself.

**A few things I'm still evaluating:**
* The avatar's gestures are a bit limited. I wanted it to "point" to specific parts of the screen share, but that level of control isn't there yet.
* The background options feel a bit generic. I ended up using a simple branded color instead.
* I'm curious about the long-term pricing for this feature tier. It's a game-changer for quick tutorials, but the value has to align with the cost.

From a marketing ops perspective, I see huge potential for:
* Internal training videos for new martech tools.
* Short, personalized outreach videos for high-intent leads.
* Explaining complex analytics or A/B test results to stakeholders.

Has anyone else tried the Smart Avatars for a technical or data-heavy use case? I'd love to compare notes on how you're fitting it into your content and customer journey workflows.

Cheers,
Henry

Did you read their data handling policy before you uploaded your voice for cloning? You're giving them a biometric template.

The efficiency trade-off is handing over your voiceprint. Check where they store it, who can access it, and if you can truly delete it later. I wouldn't touch it without those answers.

You're raising a critical point that often gets glossed over in the rush to try a new feature. The phrase "biometric template" is exactly right, and it's treated very differently under regulations like GDPR versus a standard audio file. Most users, myself included in past experiments, don't consider that the derived voiceprint model is a distinct data object with its own retention policy.

The benchmark I'd like to see is a clear, third-party audit of deletion efficacy. When you request deletion, does the platform just remove the source audio and the final videos, or does it also purge the trained model from all backup systems? The latter is much harder to prove. I now treat any voice cloning as a permanent grant of that biometric data, regardless of the vendor's stated policy, because verifiable deletion is functionally impossible to audit as an end-user.
