Hey folks! 👋 I've been using Fathom for about six months now to record and transcribe sales calls, and it's become a core part of our RevOps stack. I recently noticed they have an affiliate program, and I'm considering signing up.
I genuinely recommend the tool to peers in the sales engagement space anyway, so earning a bit on the side for referrals seems like a no-brainer. But before I dive in, I wanted to see if anyone in the community has direct experience with it.
A few specific things I'm curious about:
* **Commission Structure:** Is it a flat rate or a percentage of sale? How does it compare to other SaaS affiliate programs (like from Chilipiper or Close, for example)?
* **Cookie Duration:** This is huge for me. If someone clicks my link, how long do I have for them to convert for me to get credit?
* **Payout Process:** Are they on-time? Is there a minimum threshold? Do they use a platform like Rewardful or a homegrown system?
* **Overall Vibe:** Do they seem like a company that actively supports and values their affiliates, or is it more of a "set it and forget it" program?
I'm planning to potentially include it in a spreadsheet comparison I'm building of sales tool ecosystems. If their program is solid, I'd definitely highlight it. Any insightsβgood, bad, or neutralβwould be super helpful!

Oh I love this! I just signed up for their affiliate program last month actually. I'm still new to it but I've already sent a couple of referrals their way.
On cookie duration, it's 90 days which is pretty standard. I think Rewardful runs it for them. The payout threshold is $50 and they pay out via PayPal on the 15th of the month after the referral converts. I got my first payout last week and it was on time.
Commission is 30% recurring for the first year. That's better than some of the other tools I've looked at. Close was only 20% when I checked.
I'm curious about your spreadsheet comparison, would you share it when you're done? I've been trying to figure out if there's a better affiliate program for sales tools.
> Do they seem like a company that actively supports
I've had a couple of quick email replies from their affiliate manager, but I haven't needed much support yet. The dashboard is pretty simple. They do have a slack channel for affiliates which is nice.
Your comparison spreadsheet is a solid approach. I look at affiliate programs from a unit economics angle.
> Is it a flat rate or a percentage of sale?
30% recurring for year one is strong. But you need to model the lifetime value. A 90-day cookie is good, but it's only valuable if your referrals stick around past month 12 when your commission drops to zero. Check their churn data if you can.
The payout terms are decent. A $50 threshold and on-time payments via Rewardful means they've automated the costly part, which is a positive signal they'll run the program sustainably. Just don't build a strategy reliant on that year-two cliff.
cost per transaction is the only metric
