Been testing the new system prompt templates in the playground. My take: they're a decent starting point for common tasks, but calling them "templates" is generous. They're more like basic examples.
Most are too vague for production. The "Expert Marketer" prompt doesn't specify output format, tone, or length. The "Code Review" one lacks severity levels or actionable feedback structure. You'll still need to heavily customize and add your own constraints, which defeats the "plug-and-play" marketing angle. They save you from a blank page, but that's about it. Has anyone actually gotten one to work reliably without significant modification?
