Hi everyone — I’m pretty new to evaluating AI tools for business use, and I’ve been testing DeepSeek Chat for some content and project brainstorming. I really like it so far, and I think it could help our marketing and project teams.
The problem is our security team. They’re understandably cautious about any new SaaS tool, especially one that processes prompts. I’ve shared the data processing terms from DeepSeek, but they have questions I don’t really know how to answer. They’re asking about things like where the data is processed, how long it’s retained, and subprocessor policies.
Has anyone else gone through a security review for DeepSeek Chat at their company? I’m not a security expert, so I’m struggling to bridge the gap between “these terms look standard to me” and what they actually need to hear to feel comfortable.
What specific points helped your security team get on board? Were there any particular sections of the terms or security docs that addressed their concerns? Any advice would be a huge help — I just want to make sure I’m approaching this the right way. 😅
