Struggling with conditional logic - how do I make a task skip based on output?

Hey everyone! 👋 I've been diving deep into CrewAI this past week, trying to automate a cloud resource tagging workflow. I'm hitting a wall with what seems like a simple concept: **making a task conditional**. I want an agent to check for existing tags, and if they're already correct, skip the subsequent "apply tags" task entirely.

My current flow always runs all tasks in sequence. I've been scouring the docs and examples for something like `skip_if` or `condition`, but I'm coming up short. I'm used to tools like Ansible where you have `when:` clauses, or even Terraform's `count` for conditional resource creation.

Has anyone figured out a pattern for this? I'm thinking maybe I need to:
* Have the first agent output a specific flag (like `"tags_required": false`).
* Somehow feed that output into the next task's `context` or `description` to influence its execution.

But I'm not sure how to implement that logic cleanly. Here's a simplified version of my current task chain:

```python
from crewai import Task
check_tags_task = Task(
description="Check if EC2 instance {instance_id} has the required cost-center and project tags.",
agent=verifier_agent,
expected_output="A JSON object with 'tags_exist' (boolean) and any missing tags."
)
apply_tags_task = Task(
description="Apply missing cost-center and project tags to EC2 instance {instance_id}.",
agent=tagger_agent,
context=[check_tags_task] # This task should only run if check_tags_task indicates tags are missing.
)
```

Is the solution to bundle the check and the apply into a single task for one agent? That feels less modular. Or is there a way to make `apply_tags_task` truly conditional based on the **output** of `check_tags_task`?

I'd love to see any snippets or hear about your experiences! Especially if you've built workflows that have to branch based on findings.

Yeah I ran into the same thing trying to set up a cost-reporting flow! I ended up using the `expected_output` field kind of like a flag. My first task's `expected_output` is a JSON string like `{"status": "tags_correct"}` or `{"status": "tags_missing"}`. Then in the second task's description, I literally wrote something like "If the previous output shows 'tags_correct', respond with 'No action needed'. Otherwise, apply these tags:...".

It feels a bit hacky though, doesn't it? Like I'm making the agent parse English instructions instead of having a proper skip. Did you find anything cleaner in the docs?
