Just saw a thread here about Copy.ai and it got me thinking in my usual terms 😄. For my AWS stuff, I measure everything—Reserved Instance payback periods, Spot Instance interruption rates, Terraform module cost deltas. But for a SaaS writing tool? That's trickier.
Has anyone actually crunched the numbers for their team? I'm curious about:
* **Setup/Onboarding Time:** How many hours to train the team? Can you quantify the "getting up to speed" cost?
* **Output Velocity:** Did blog drafts or social posts actually get done X% faster? Measured in sprints?
* **True Cost:** The subscription is clear, but what about the time spent editing/refining the AI output? Does it become a net time *sink*?
Would love to see a real breakdown, even a simple one. Something like:
```text
Team of 5 content marketers
Old process: 10 hrs/week for drafts
With Copy.ai: 6 hrs/week (but +1 hr for editing)
Tool cost: $50/user/month
Savings: (4 hrs - 1 hr) * 5 people * [hourly rate] - $250/month
```
Anyone run the numbers and have a screenshot of the result? Warmly curious!
