Hi everyone! 👋 I've been lurking here for a bit but this is my first post. I'm on the Sales Ops team at a mid-sized SaaS company, and we rolled out Consensus about 90 days ago. My manager asked me to put together a report on how it’s impacting our workflow, so I thought I’d share the main takeaways here.
Overall, the sentiment is really positive, especially from the sales reps. The biggest win is definitely in the early stages of the sales cycle. Our AEs use it primarily for creating those initial “personalized” prospecting emails and for building demo agendas based on discovery calls. It saves them a ton of time they used to spend manually combing through websites and LinkedIn. That said, we’ve hit a few snags. The biggest one is what I’d call “context depth.” Sometimes the info pulled for a prospect is a bit surface-level or outdated, which can make an email feel generic if the rep doesn’t double-check. We’ve learned you can’t just copy-paste; you have to edit.
From a RevOps perspective, the integration with Salesforce is smooth on a technical level, but we’re still figuring out the best way to track its ROI. We’re logging email open/reply rates linked to Consensus-generated content, but attributing a won deal to it is tricky. Also, we had to create some internal training docs to remind everyone to review the outputs for accuracy—data quality is a big thing for us, and we don’t want reps blindly trusting the AI.
So, my question for teams who have used it longer: how do you measure its real impact on pipeline velocity or win rates? And have you found a good way to ensure the information it uses stays relevant? We’re thinking of doing a quarterly refresh of our source guidelines.
Thanks!
