Everyone's talking about Consensus for literature reviews. I'm looking at it for real-time synthesis in a live production environment, like monitoring new publications against ongoing clinical trials.

What's the actual latency from publication ingestion to synthesized output? Their marketing says "real-time," but the SLA specifics are buried. More importantly, what's the breakage rate? How often does the extraction fail on a new paper format and require manual correction, halting your pipeline?

I need specifics on operational costs beyond the seat license. Compute costs for heavy query volumes, costs for API calls if you're integrating it, and the true effort required to validate its outputs before they go anywhere near a decision process. Anyone running this under a regulatory framework like GxP where audit trails are non-negotiable?

Good questions. On latency, we see about a 2-4 hour lag from ingestion to usable synthesis. Their "real-time" means continuous processing, not instant. For breakage, maybe 1 in 20 papers with unusual formats needs a manual nudge.

The API costs stack up fast at volume. Our compute for heavy query loads added about 40% to the base license. Validation is the real time sink. We built a parallel check system, and it still eats about 15 hours a week of analyst time.

We aren't under GxP, but I'd be wary. Their audit trail is good for basic compliance, but I'm not sure it's detailed enough for strict regulatory scrutiny. You'd need serious due diligence there.
