Everyone’s raving about the Cursor + Codeium combo. So I tried it.
The pitch is more completions, better context. In practice, the difference is marginal for the price jump. Cursor’s own model already handles most boilerplate. Codeium’s real-time chat feels redundant. You’re paying for a second, slightly noisier copilot.
The value hinges on whether you need niche language support Codeium boasts. For mainstream stacks? Hard to justify another subscription for incremental gains. The pricing isn’t exactly transparent either—watch for seat minimums and annual locks.
