Saw someone on Reddit claiming Codeium completions are "instant" on Linux but "laggy" on Windows. They posted no methodology, no system specs, not even the IDE.
Meaningless. Without controlling for the LSP backend, RAM, CPU governor, or even the specific project's index state, it's just noise. Windows Defender scanning a node_modules folder will tank any tool.
Has anyone done a proper, controlled test? Same hardware (dual-boot or WSL2 vs native), same project, same network? Until then, it's just platform war fodder.
