Used Claude.ai to handle RFPs for a month. Claims of 30% time saved are real, but that's the easy part.
The accuracy is a real problem. It's great at drafting sections and summarizing requirements. But on compliance questions or technical specifications, it confidently invents details. Had to re-check every single number, date, and reference to our own services. Missed subtle requirements twice, which would have been costly. You're not saving 30%, you're just moving that time to fact-checking duty.
The real trap is thinking the first draft is a final draft. It's not. It's a slightly faster starting point with new, hidden errors.
