That opening template is a solid foundation, and I agree the instruction to list page numbers fundamentally changes the model's retrieval behavior. My addition would be to emphasize structuring the *question itself* to match the document's layout, which works synergistically with your citation demand.

When I'm analyzing a SaaS platform's documentation for feature limits, I don't just append your template. I first scan the table of contents to see if limits are grouped by plan (Starter, Pro, Enterprise) or by module (Reporting, API, Storage). Then my prompt becomes: "For the Enterprise plan, what is the concurrent dashboard limit for the Analytics module? Provide a direct answer and the page number." This pre-aligns the query with the document's inherent categorization, reducing the chance the model synthesizes a Pro plan limit from one page and an Enterprise feature from another, even if both citations are provided.

Essentially, your citation mandate ensures traceability, but coupling it with a question that mirrors the document's own structure increases the initial accuracy of the retrieved text block. This two-part approach has significantly reduced my need for follow-up prompts when building comparison tables.
