Hey everyone! 👋 I've been diving into using ChatGPT for work stuff lately, especially since my team is remote and we're always looking for ways to be more productive. I handle a lot of project data in Asana and Notion, and sometimes I need to pull specific info from our databases.
Lately, I've been trying to use ChatGPT to help me write SQL queries for simple questions, like "show me all open tasks from last month." It's kinda helpful for the absolute basics, but I've heard there are actual dedicated tools for thisβlike Text-to-SQL bots that are built specifically for databases.
My question is: for someone like me who isn't a database pro, what's the real difference? Is ChatGPT good enough for occasional, simple questions if I'm careful? Or would a dedicated tool be way more reliable and safe? I'm worried about ChatGPT maybe misunderstanding my question and giving me a query that could mess something up.
I'm curious if anyone here has compared them directly for work tasks. How do they stack up for accuracy, learning curve, and handling more complex requests? Also, pricing is a factor for our small team. Thx!
