Ran it for a year. The hype cycle was a masterclass in disappointment. Everyone promised autonomous agents that would run your business. Reality: a brittle script that gets lost in its own loops unless you babysit it constantly.

The core task execution *sometimes* works for simple, linear fetch-and-summarize jobs. Anything requiring actual decision-making or context across more than three steps falls apart. Memory is a joke—it forgets the primary objective if you look away. Show me a production deployment that hasn't required more engineering hours to maintain than it saved. I haven't seen one.
