Am I the only one who finds the BabyAGI docs confusing?

Okay, I’ve been trying to set up a basic BabyAGI loop to test a personalized content generation workflow, and I keep hitting the same wall: the official documentation feels like it’s written for people who already know exactly how it all fits together.

I’m comfortable with Python and APIs, but the docs jump from a high-level overview straight into the full agentic loop without much on the “why” behind certain design choices. For example, the explanation of how the task queue is prioritized references the original paper, but doesn't give practical examples of tweaking that for, say, a customer support triage test.

Has anyone else run into this? I ended up piecing things together from GitHub issues and a couple of blog posts, which got me running, but it took way longer than it should have.

What parts did you find most confusing? For me, it was configuring the vector store for the task results—the examples used one specific backend, but swapping it out felt like guesswork without clear error handling cues. A simple “if you see X error, check Y” would have saved me an afternoon of trial and error!

Sample size matters.

Right? That vector store part got me too. I tried Pinecone because the tutorial mentioned it, but then it just... broke. No hints why.

Which blog posts helped you the most? I found one about the task execution loop that finally clicked. Still figuring out the queue priority, though. Is it mostly about tweaking the objective string?
