Hi everyone. I've been trying to wrap my head around AutoGen for the last couple of weeks, mostly playing with some basic task automation between a few internal tools. It's fascinating, but honestly, a bit overwhelming with all the possibilities.
My main goal is to see if it could help with some repetitive marketing ops tasks. We use HubSpot, and I've seen mentions that AutoGen can connect to external APIs. I'm really curious if anyone here has actually set up agents to interact with HubSpot's or even Marketo's APIs for things like:
* Segmenting leads based on meeting notes or support tickets
* Updating contact properties in bulk based on certain triggers
* Maybe even drafting simple follow-up email content for a sequence?
I'm comfortable with basic API concepts and have managed to get API keys, but the step from there to building a reliable multi-agent workflow feels big. I'm worried about managing costs, handling errors, and just the overall complexity.
Did you build it from scratch with the `AssistantAgent` and `UserProxyAgent`? Or did you use a specific framework or pattern? Any gotchas with authentication or rate-limiting you ran into?
If you have any simplified examples or can point me to a discussion that's not too deep into the coding weeds, I'd be so grateful. Just trying to see if this is a viable path or if I should stick to more dedicated, single-purpose tools for now.
Thanks for any insights! ✌️ annie
