Just saw this thread pop up and had to check it out. Another "executive dashboard," huh? I'm sure it's very shiny. But let's be real—how many of you are actually putting this in front of a C-suite exec who isn't already bought into the whole MLOps platform spend?
We tried a similar approach with Arize's reporting features last quarter. The dashboards themselves are fine, maybe even good. The problem is the jump from "this looks neat" to "this justifies our current seat count and upcoming Enterprise renewal." Our finance team took one look at the per-user cost for "advanced reporting roles" and asked what our open-source Grafana setup *couldn't* do. It was an awkward conversation.
The value prop always seems to hinge on the time saved building these internally. But if you're already paying for the platform, you're just moving the cost from engineering hours to vendor licensing. It feels like we're buying the tool, then paying again to show anyone the output.
So, genuine question for those showcasing: are your execs actually making decisions from these, or is it just a checkpoint in a slide deck? And more importantly, has anyone successfully pushed back on the feature-gating of basic PDF export or multi-workspace views? I'd love to hear the negotiation tactics, because our renewal is looming.
