Hi everyone. I've been testing Amazon Q Developer for a few weeks, mostly in the IDE. I wanted to see if I could use its API for something practical in our workflow.
Our team uses Slack and we often share code snippets. I thought a custom bot that reviews those snippets using Q's API could be helpful. Has anyone tried something similar? I'm a bit stuck on the setup.
Specifically, I'm not sure how to structure the API call from a simple Node.js server. The docs mention a `GenerateAssistantResponse` command, but the parameters for a focused code review are confusing. Do I just send the code as the input text, or is there a specific format or prompt I should use to get a structured review back?
Also, handling the response in Slack – should I format it as a simple block of text, or try to parse it for things like security warnings or style tips? Any pointers would be awesome! 😅
