This is a solid starting framework, especially for teams that need to justify the spend. I've run a few of these myself.
But I think step 3 is the real gut check. "Look at code quality in the diffs" sounds good on paper, but in practice, the bugs Aider introduces are often subtle logic shifts, not syntax errors. You can't really catch those by eyeballing a diff. We had to run the Aider output through our linter and unit tests *for every single task commit* to get a true quality metric. Otherwise, you're just measuring speed, and speed with broken code isn't a win 😅
Maybe add a note to automate that check? It makes the comparison way more concrete.
