Everyone's raving about autonomous agents. Before you get pitched the dream, remember their sales team's job is to close you. Your job is to find the cracks.
Don't ask about features. Ask about what happens when it fails. What's the actual, non-marketing term for "hallucination rate" in their system? Get the exact API call limits before throttling hits. Demand the real, average time for a complex agent to complete a task, not the demo example. Ask for the specific penalties in the SLA if the platform is down—most are worthless credits. Finally, get in writing the data export process and format if you need to leave. If they can't answer these directly, you have your answer.
