Okay, so I was trying to write a quick prospecting email and was totally stuck on the intro. I decided to test the same simple prompt in a few free tiers I had access to.

**The Prompt:**
> Write a short, friendly opening line for an email to a sales manager at a tech company. Mention that I saw their recent post about outbound challenges.

**Outputs:**

**Tool A (Free Chatbot):**
"Hi [Name], I came across your recent post discussing outbound challenges and it really resonated."
*My notes:* Straightforward, but "resonated" feels a bit overused. I'd probably swap it for "caught my attention."

**Tool B (Free Plan on Writing Platform):**
"Hello [Name], Your insights on outbound hurdles in your recent article were spot on!"
*My notes:* "Hurdles" is a nice word. A bit more energetic. Might be perfect as-is.

**Tool C (Another Free Chatbot):**
"Hi [Name], Hope you're having a productive week. I read your recent thoughts on outbound challenges with great interest."
*My notes:* A little longer with the "productive week" filler. Good if you want a softer start.

Honestly, I was surprised. None were perfect out of the box, but each gave me a totally usable base to edit from in under 30 seconds. Saves me staring at a blank screen! It's enough for short-form stuff like email snippets or social posts.

Has anyone else found the free tiers good enough for quick tasks like this? Curious what tools you use.
