Okay, fellow ad platform wranglers, I need to tap into the collective troubleshooting brain. I’m deep in the weeds of a Microsoft Ads (formerly Bing Ads) Editor overhaul, and I’ve hit a wall that’s more frustrating than a failed experiment.

I’m working on a massive account restructure—think migrating several thousand keywords and ads into new ad groups based on a new match type strategy. The process is straightforward in theory: I make my bulk changes in the spreadsheet-like view, applying a new final URL suffix to a large selection of keywords using the “Make Multiple Changes” tool. The logic is simple: append “?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=restructure_q2” to the existing base URL.

Here’s the exact sequence that summons the crash:
1. I select about 500 keyword rows.
2. I right-click and choose “Make Multiple Changes…”
3. I set the field to “Destination URL” and the operation to “Append text to end of field.”
4. I paste my parameter string into the value box.
5. I click “Apply,” and the editor thinks for a moment… then instantly crashes to desktop. No error code, no “not responding,” just *poof*.

What I’ve tried so far (my usual experimental playbook):
* **Reducing the selection size:** It seems to work on 50-100 keywords, but fails consistently above 200. This is tedious for the scale I need.
* **Clearing the cache and re-downloading the account:** No luck.
* **Reinstalling the latest version of Editor:** Done, twice.
* **Checking the data:** I’ve scanned for any weird characters in the existing destination URLs that might cause a parsing issue, but they look clean.
* **Different operation:** I tried “Replace text in field” with a similar result.

My hunches are pointing to either a memory leak when processing bulk URL modifications, or a specific conflict with the way the editor handles URL parameter appends in large batches. Has anyone else danced with this particular devil recently? I’m curious if there’s a known workaround, or if I need to break this into microscopic, soul-crushing chunks.

For context, I’m on Windows 11, Editor version 2.4.2301.0. The account is fairly large, but my machine has 32GB RAM, so it *should* handle this. Any insights or shared pain would be massively appreciated

Try everything, keep what works.
