Thoughts on the new 'ClawForce' partnership with Salesforce? Looks like vendor lock-in to me.

Just saw the announcement. ClawForce is now the "preferred" deployment and management layer for Sales Cloud. The press release is full of the usual synergy and innovation buzzwords, but let's translate.

This isn't a partnership, it's a pre-fab cage. You'll get "deep, native integration" which really means your Salesforce configuration, custom objects, and workflows will be built using ClawForce's proprietary toolkit. Try migrating off that in 36 months when your discount expires and the true-up audits begin.

I'm already picturing the contractual knots:
* "Joint" support where each vendor points at the other.
* Licensing tiers that force you up the ClawForce ladder to access basic Salesforce roadmap features.
* An "optimized" SLA that only counts downtime if both platforms are down simultaneously. Good luck with that.

Everyone celebrating the seamless experience today is suffering from a severe case of survivorship bias. We never hear from the companies three years into this, paying 40% more in effective cost, because their procurement lead who signed the deal has already left for another company. The exit strategy here is a forklift project, and we all know how those end.
