Everyone's raving about OpenClaw for rapid prototyping. It's fast. It's free. I get it.

Try getting that prototype through a SOC 2 audit. Or GDPR. Their data residency is a black box. Their "enterprise" support tier is just a Slack channel that goes silent. By the time you untangle the permissions model to make it compliant, you've rebuilt the whole thing. You just paid for the "free" tool with six months of engineering debt.

It's a trap. The migration off it costs more than building it properly in the first place.
