Used Semrush daily for two years. Mid-market e-commerce site (~10k SKUs). Here's the raw data.
**The Good:**
* Keyword database is massive. Very few gaps for our niche.
* Rank tracking is accurate. Daily updates are reliable.
* Site Audit is the best feature. Found critical crawl issues we missed.
* Historical data is invaluable for reporting and spotting trends.
**The Bad:**
* Price increased twice in two years. Feature bloat for our needs.
* Reporting UI is slow. Exporting custom reports is clunky.
* Local rank tracking for non-US markets is less precise.
* API limits feel restrictive for the price point.
**Verdict:**
Sticking with it for now. The data depth and site audit justify the cost, but it's not a perfect tool.
**For comparison, I'd like to see hard numbers on:**
* Ahrefs' crawl frequency for large e-commerce sites.
* Moz's keyword database accuracy in EU markets.
* Cost per feature for a team of 5 users.
