I stumbled across some third-party audit reports and lab testing documents for the Firebox series, like from NSS Labs or other independent groups. I have to admit, some of the technical details go over my head. For those of you who have been around longer, have you looked at these?
I’m specifically curious if you spotted any consistent red flags or weaknesses in those audits. Things like performance under load, specific feature gaps compared to claims, or anything that made you pause. I’m trying to balance security needs with our limited IT budget and don’t want to miss a critical detail hidden in fine print.
Our use case is pretty standard: about 30 users, remote work VPN, and we’re looking at the mid-range T-series. Any insights would be super helpful while I’m comparing vendors.
