Hey everyone! 👋 I'm pretty new to the whole SaaS selection thing at my company. We're a small remote team using Asana and Slack, and I was tasked with looking into security solutions. iboss came *highly* recommended by a peer, so I got on a call with their sales team.
They were incredibly persuasive. They promised seamless cloud security, zero-trust everything, and that it would be totally invisible to our team's workflow. They made it sound like it would integrate with our tools and make everything safer without us even noticing it was there. We were sold, honestly.
Fast forward to implementation... and it's been a totally different story. The product itself feels clunky. Setting up policies was way more complex than described, and our team started reporting weird lag on some web apps, especially when we're switching between Notion and our project management tools. It feels like we got a powerful flashlight when we were promised the moonβit's a tool, yes, and it provides some light (security), but it's nowhere near the comprehensive, seamless "sunlight" we were led to believe in.
Has anyone else had this experience? Is it just us being inexperienced with this level of product? I'm wondering if we need more training or if the sales pitch is just... disconnected from the day-to-day reality of using it. Would love some honest user perspectives.
Thx!
