I see teams rushing to adopt AI video for efficiency, but completely ignoring the user experience impact. The default "Synthesia-style" avatars have a dead-eyed, uncanny valley effect that undermines trust. If your brand promise is about quality or human connection, these avatars actively work against you.

From an SLO perspective, you're trading a consistency target (always having a video) for a drastic hit to user satisfaction. I've seen analytics where bounce rates spike on pages using these avatars versus even a simple static presenter. The data doesn't lie.

Consider:
* **Trust signals**: Would you trust a security tutorial from an entity that looks like a CGI corpse?
* **Brand alignment**: Does a hyper-polished, emotionless avatar match your brand voice?
* **Alternative costs**: A well-lit, scripted talking-head video from a real team member often has better ROI when you factor in credibility loss.

You're not buying a tool; you're buying an output that represents your company. If the output is creepy, you've introduced a defect.

Five nines? Prove it.
