For serious print, you're exporting and using a dedicated tool. I've tested the two most common against real print batches.
**Topaz Gigapixel AI** wins for consistency. Its "Art" model handles AI-generated imagery best, reducing watercolor mush and stabilizing lines. The auto-face refinement is a liability for non-portraits, though. You have to disable it.
**Upscayl** (free) is surprisingly good for certain styles. Its "Remacri" model excels on digital-art style generations, preserving sharp edges. Falls apart on photorealistic outputs, introduces weird textures.
My blunt take: If this is for client work and downtime costs money, get Topaz. Batch process, consistent results. If it's for personal projects and your style is more illustrative, Upscayl is worth a try first.
