Hey everyone, I've been trying out Le Chat Pro for the past three weeks after being a long-time ChatGPT Plus subscriber, and I have to say... I'm switching back. I really wanted to like it, especially with the pricing being so attractive, but some things just didn't click for me.
My main use case is evaluating SaaS tools and planning projects, so I need a model that's good at structured comparisons, following specific formats, and digging into feature sets. While Le Chat was decent for general chat, I found it struggled more with consistency when I asked for side-by-side breakdowns. For example, when comparing ClickUp vs. Asana for a specific workflow, it would sometimes leave out crucial pricing tiers or integration details that ChatGPT consistently included.
I also felt the "personality" was a bit less adaptable? Like, when I asked it to role-play as a cautious budget-conscious evaluator, it didn't seem to stick to that lens as tightly throughout the conversation. The tone would shift back to a more generic assistant.
The big thing for me, though, was the ecosystem. I didn't realize how much I relied on ChatGPT's code interpreter for quick data analysis from CSV files of vendor features, and the seamless browsing for checking latest pricing pages. Le Chat's browsing felt slower and less integrated to my workflow.
Has anyone else made a similar switch? I'm curious if I missed some prompt techniques or settings that could have made Le Chat work better for my specific needs around SaaS and project management tool analysis. The value proposition is strong on paper!
