So everyone's buzzing about Humata for "chatting" with your documents. My team's looking at it for ops: vendor contracts, process docs, compliance PDFs, the usual soul-crushing paper trail. The promise is we stop manually digging through 50-page PDFs for a single clause.

But their pricing... it's all about pages. "Unlimited questions!" they say, which is a classic misdirection. The real constraint is how many *pages* you can feed the beast each month.

We're a 5-person team. Realistically, we'd be uploading:
* New vendor agreements (20-40 pages each, maybe 2-3 a month)
* Updated internal SOPs (10-15 pages each)
* Industry regulation updates (nightmarish 100+ page PDFs quarterly)
* Archived project specs for reference

Do we look like we're processing 500 pages a month? 1000? More?

I'm deeply suspicious of any pricing model that charges per "page." Is a dense, text-heavy legal document a page? Is a half-empty slide deck with 30 "pages" a page? I'd bet my bottom dollar they count the slide deck as 30 pages, because of course they do.

Before I run a trial, I want a reality check from teams actually using it. Are you constantly hitting limits? Is the "page" definition as predatory as I imagine? What's a realistic monthly volume for a small, document-heavy ops group that isn't made of money?

But what about the edge case?
