So I made a switch last month. My team was using Helicone to monitor our OpenAI API calls, and it was great for the basics. But our engineering lead wanted more "enterprise" dashboards and pushed us to build a custom integration with New Relic.
Now I think it was a mistake? The New Relic setup is so much more complex. We spent weeks just getting the data to pipe in correctly, and the dashboards aren't as intuitive for seeing cost per user or prompt latency at a glance.
Has anyone else tried to move away from Helicone? Is there a way to get the best of both worlds? I miss the simplicity 😅. Maybe we should have just used Helicone's webhooks more? Curious what others think.
