I'm seeing this across multiple detectors (Originality.ai, GPTZero, Sapling). Even after I run generated content through multiple paraphrasing tools and manually rewrite entire sections, scores still come back as 80-100% AI.
My process:
1. Generate initial draft with ContentBot.
2. Use a tool like QuillBot for structural changes.
3. Manually edit for tone, add personal anecdotes, insert industry-specific jargon.
4. Run through a final grammar/spell check.
The detectors still flag it. Benchmarks are useless if they're this sensitive to patterns rather than actual originality.
Is this a ContentBot fingerprint issue, or are the detectors just broken? Has anyone found a reliable editing workflow that actually passes?
You're missing the foundational problem. The entire premise of using "multiple paraphrasing tools" after an AI generator is just adding more automated layers on top of an automated origin. You're not creating original work, you're laundering it through successive patterns that detectors are also trained to spot. Of course it still reads as synthetic.
The issue isn't whether the detectors are "broken" or if ContentBot has a fingerprint. They're doing exactly what they're built to do, which is identifying content that follows predictable, low-entropy patterns. Your workflow is a series of pattern-based transformations. Starting with an AI draft, then using another AI to restructure it, then doing light manual editing, is never going to produce the statistical fingerprints of human-first writing.
Instead of finding a "reliable editing workflow" to game the system, maybe ask why you're using a generator for a first draft at all if the end goal is to pass as human. The total cost of ownership in time spent on this circular editing process probably exceeds just writing the thing yourself from a blank page.
